Week 6- Not a fan of high protein

So, I am now into the phase of the diet where I have been put on high protein. Although this keeps me full, it also causes me to be very slow with the "elimination" process. Another thing that I have noticed (and talking to a few other people who have done high protein diets), is that I crave my cookies and carbs much more in this phase (I need that sugar fix, which I was getting from fruit before). I had my latest check-in with the doctor yesterday, and I swear my body knows when I am going, and it holds onto all the weight so that it doesn't look like I've lost a lot. Even though I am losing much faster than I normally do on my own (1-2 lbs/week), I think the doctor expected me to have a larger drop than I did (1 kg in the last 2 weeks). The semi-constipation and gas doesn't help. She has added a portion of fruit into the diet to try and help me out (on top of the fibre supplements that I am taking at the moment). I also fully admit that I haven't been v...

Week 4- Starting to pay off

Image
So, this week, people are starting to see the difference, which makes me feel good. I am also almost back to what I was when I left London/moved to Barranquilla. At that point in my life, I felt amazing, and those feelings are coming back. I have a waist again, and although I need to work on the strength training (cardio is just so much more enjoyable), I feel better overall. The scale is still around 165lbs, but I don't feel so big and heavy. I have lost between 1/2" and 2" around different parts of my body (my stomach being the most, which seems to be in large part to the limited wheat and dairy). Now I need to continue everything (with a few cheats here and there). This week is a higher protein week (also more variety of proteins). Me, shortly after moving to Barranquilla Me, yesterday I should also confess that I haven't completely been doing this alone, I have been going to a clinic, that has been helping me. One of the things that we (in my family) ne...

Week 3- Progress

This week, I saw progress. The scale still hasn't moved much, but my measurements are changing. I am getting a waist again! I am not going to lie, I was obsessing over the number on the scale, so, listening to another friend of mine who is trying to lose weight (and realizes that there are many fluctuations day to day), I am going to try to only weigh myself once a week. (She is going to do it once a month, but I can't go that long without knowing). Overall, the measurements is what is more important to me anyways, but it is still nice to see the scales go down. I am very happy that my waist measurements are getting smaller (half inch so far), but I am not going to lie, it would be wonderful if my bra size went down too. I know many women who would love to lose inches only around their bellies, but, as someone who has a very large chest, quite honestly, I would like to lose a bit there too. I already have trouble fitting shirts, and need an XL just for my chest, so, you know,...
